We hold around six sessions in Hong Kong (Wednesday evenings - when most people can attend) focused on designing language activities in either English OR Putonghua. If you select a specific language, you will work with a teacher.

After you register for this course on your Buniport, you can let the teachers know which language you will teach.

In May 2026, we will travel to a village school in Cambodia. Your airfare, accommodation, and meals will be funded by a grant. The English teacher and the Putonghua teacher will also be on the team to ensure safety and your needs are attended to.

Assessment:
25% on teaching materials design

35% on service-learning

20% on presentation
20% on ongoing reflections

The actual teaching will last around 5 days in the village (near its capital, Phnom Penh). After that, the whole team will have cultural visits to learn about the history of Cambodia.

For safety reasons, you cannot stay behind to travel. We will travel in a group. We will return to Hong Kong in late May or early June 2026.
